Smartcord X

Smartcord X is an impregnated knitted retraction cord made from 100% cotton, infused with Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate (AlCl₃·6H₂O) for temporary gingival retraction and hemostasis in a single step.

So it is very effective in temporary gingival retraction and hemostasis of the gingival margin. Aluminum Chloride is most popularly used chemical reagents, and least irritating of all the medicaments used for impregnating retraction cords.

Hemostasis Test in Protein Solution

A lab test using protein solution shows clear protein aggregation near Smartcord X after 2 minutes, proving the active coagulative property of aluminum chloride.
